Spirits will be available at the stand of the Hahn wheat distillery. The youngest visitors can let off steam at a special play mobile. The kitchen can safely remain cold on this day. There will be grilled sausages, griddle pancakes, Schwälmer dumplings and tarte flambée, among other things. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Wiera brass band and the group "Chris and me". Between the two musical acts, the award ceremony for the "Schwalmstadt blossoms up" competition will take place. In spring, the town of Schwalmstadt called on its citizens to create wild flowering areas in their gardens. The aim was to make a contribution to insect diversity by distributing 200 seed packets. The campaign was accompanied by a competition. The winners will receive their prizes during the farmers' market at 1:30 pm.

Venue Information - Water Fortress Ziegenhain
"Strong as Ziegenhain" was once a saying that referred to the imposing former water fortress. From 1537 Landgrave Philip the Magnanimous had the Landgrave castle including the town center rebuilt with four bastions and a mighty curtain wall. This is how the central main fortress of the four Hessian state fortresses was built. In 1807, the fortress Ziegenhain was demolished by order of Napoleon, leaving the moat and the castle, which has been used as a prison since 1872.
Fortress visitors can walk along the fortress moat in Ziegenhain and inspect the exhibits in the Museum of the Schwalm, in the former commander's building. As part of special tours in parts and the castle can be visited. Information is the Schwalm tourism.
